Has anyone ported landline from Charter to MJ?

Post by taviathomas »

I just registered my MagicJack+, and am trying to start the porting process. When I get to the dropdown menu to choose my current carrier, Charter Communications is not listed. There is a "C Communications, Inc" but that's the closest choice. Has anyone been through this process with Charter? Any suggestions? I tried Live Chat, but they weren't very helpful.

Thanks!

I ported my number from charter with no problem. It is not listed on magicjacks list of providers but went through in days.

Thanks for your reply. I found a reference to Fiberlink on my Charter bill, so I think they are the actual carrier. I didn't find any option for "other", so I had to choose something, so I selected "Fiberlink." I submitted my request yesterday and it is "pending" for the moment. I do hope it works!

Did Fiberlink work? I tried Charter once and got back a goofy message from mj. Was going to try again, but happened upon this post.

Yes, it did work for me! And. it only took about 3 or 4 days to port. I'm glad you asked, because I had meant to come back here and post about that. I hope it works for you, too. Good luck! I'm very happy with my MJ Plus, so far.

Thanks for the information. I went ahead and tried fiberlink too. I'll post a follow up when I get word.
