Some calls fine, other calls the other party can't hear me.

I have a D-LINK DIR-655. I have set a static IP for the Magic Jack Plus, opened ports 5060 and 5070, and disabled SIP. (Have also tried running in DMZ).

Many calls go through correctly and--so far--incoming calls are all fine. However, there are certian numbers where the person on the other end can't hear me. This is repeatable. If they call me back (same phone) it is fine, but if I call...nothing.

Setup is Magic Jack Plus directly into DIR-655 (so not using computer as go-between). 30Mbs cable modem with 3Mbs upstream.

Frustrating, because it is "so close" to working right.... thoughts?

I have a Trendnet router & am having issues as well. When I make a call, I can hear the other party (barely) & they can't hear me. Receiving a call, neither party hears a thing.

Reserved IP, port forwarded 5060 & 5070 & put IP in DMZ. Tried different phones. Reset MJ+ & router several times. My security cameras are port forwarded on 9000 & 9001 & work fine.

Did work initially, not so much now. Have had it less than a month.

Just plugged MJ+ into my PC & made a call--can't hear, other party could hear me. Received a call--neither party heard a thing.

I certainly have it better--some calls are crystal clear on both ends. On the ones where the person can't hear, the problem goes away if they hang up and call me back (same phones, same MJ+, just a matter of who initiated the call). It is for that reason that I'm not going crazy messing with router settings more---it feels like a bigger issue. No reason why some people should be able to hear and others can't...it would make more sense if outgoing was always being blocked...then you'd know that there was an issue with the upstream signal.
