Portal Found...

Post by MagicHack »

Hey kids, here is a cool URL for you to play with. Log in using the email and password you used to set up your jack. Set up call forwarding, "Multiple Ring", etc. No way to change numbers, yet (at least that I see)...

Happy Hacking.

Richard Bone was just browsing here. 5 minutes later, they removed the portal. Perhaps the admins of this site should ban the IP's of the MagicJack employees...;-)

You can see from the screen shot above, that it WAS there, and all the features in the screen shot worked...

So, I set up call forwarding before they took the portal down.

Now that the portal is down, I cannot UNDO the change. So now, all calls to my MJ line go to my cellphone.

I really think you should be careful what info you share here. I'll bet that more and more as info is posted here it may will have impacts on what feature/functionality is magically removed.

My $0.02 that you did not ask for. I think you guys are doing a great job; I just think info should be carefully shared.

there are definitely hacks on this forum that if mj decided to close up would really suck, a lot more than them taking the portal down temporarily til its ready

a lot of the "hacks" revealed, imo, should only be shared via pm, as i posted in another thread - especially stuff related to sip info

Stewart, MagicHack (Why do I feel that this my turn around and bite ME in the *ss for agreeing to this :( ... oh well)

You might want to consider a "VIP" area/room with verified members or something or PM sharing. I don't have a great solution but something more private than this.

When they have a moments rest, they WILL address these "creative solutions" you have created and posted.

There is a backdoor to the portal but it is not going to be discussed because of what went on today.

I agree with jeffnyc about this. Otherwise I think it will be "game over" if certain existing posts aren't deleted. :? Just my opinion though; not my decision to make.

I thought there were no rules to this forum. Everyone should know what a hack is and that you should know what your doing before doing it.Nobody said you have to do everything posted on this site do it at your own risk.

I dont think his point was a matter of some end user messing up his jack as opposed to magicjack the company coming here, seeing the current work arounds/hacks and then patching up the holes and leaving us without the back doors

Is the ability to change your name available on this "test" portal?

At your own risk risk. While many have had success, I and a few others mj's no longer work because of a failed change attempt.

In the Username you type in your email address in which you had signed up for magic jack and then the password.

If you cant remember your password, go to sales chat in which one of the agent will transfer you to Henok. He is going to ask you for your email address in which you had sign up with mj with. Then he will tell you the password.

I have 2 MJs and I forgot the login details for the second line. So, I went to the chat, and Richie helped me with the needed details.
