Are you connected to a router or to your PC?

Make sure that your speed is enough. MJ needs at least 128 kb/s for both upload and download. Do you have any other voip service/software currently connected and active on that same computer right now? If yes, please disconnect/exit/disable them momentarily. If you're using a cordless phone, please make sure it is fully-charged. You may also need to use a corded telephone or a different one. If you have a headset please try and see if it makes a difference. You may try these as well:
1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys on your keyboard at the same time.
2. Click on the "Processes" tab, look for the line that says "magicJack" .
3. Right-click on it then select "Set Priority" then choose "High" from the popup list.
