Headphones not working with MJ app

I have MJ app on my android phone and it works fine except I cannot hear using headphone. I tested the phone using my carrier and the headphones worked fine switched over to MJ app and headphones not working, tired different headphones so problem is the MJ app. Any suggestions on how to set up the headphones on MJ app. speaker works.
