Hello:
I have a Magic Jack. I have been using it for over a year. When it came time to renew, I had major challenges. It was like hitting a brick wall. I was told my Canadian Credit card was not acceptable(even though it works with Amazon, Ebay, Skype, etc.)
The customer service chats were pointless. Why do they think that connecting you with a top 10 customer agent will make you feel better? It has been nearly two months and I am without a solution.
Because I live overseas, I use my Magic Jack only to call home. I never use it for incoming calls.
Here is my question:
If I had someone purchase a new Magic Jack in Canada, would I be able to use my magic jack device here with that new number?
Renewal Issus Plus a Question.

Yes that is possible... the reason why your card is not accepted is that they are preventing hacked credit cards to be used... If your card is registered in Canada, the system will only accept Canadian IP address. That is the best way to purchase a renewal for your magicjack device, have someone in Canada to purchase it for you.
Same issue as the above.
I can relate.
I have a similar issue.
My question is this: how do you set up the new magic jack number to work on the old magic jack?
Can anyone provide a step-by-step?
