low volume when calling or receiving a call

Post by randyz48 »

when i use magic jack 2014 it is hard to hear the other person like someone turned down the volume. when i unplug mj2014 and plugged in phone to regular service the volume is fine and i can hear it all. unplg phone and hooked back up mj2014 and same thing low volume. is there a way to turn up the volume on mj2014 so we can hear good like our old phone? i have mj2014 pluggd in wall not in computer. also i have had the error 3002 6 times since i got the mj2014 a few days ago. why does this happen? i have to unplug everything then plug back in to reset it all. i clicked above on this site for tech support, after filling out infoit said it would charge 38 dollars for support! that is crazy!!!!!! i just got the unit a few days ago so why do i have to pay so much for tech support? that is down right wrong and to costly as well. i am disabled and on low disabled income that is why i wanted mj2014 in first place to save money. there is no way i can afford to pay that kind of money for help!

return the 2014 MJ+ before it's too late, it's NOT for you.

I do not know what website you went to that wanted to charge you $38 for tech support, but magicJack does NOT charge for support.

Go directly to my.magicjack.com, log into your online account, then click on LIVE HELP (chat) and start a chat session - for free.

A number of people with the old mJ+ have had a similar problem.
Please let me know if this works for you:
Plug the device via USB into your computer.
If it hasn't already updated or installed on your computer, just allow the magicJack interface to do so. It should be automatic. Once installed/opened, the magicJack interface should appear. Pull down from menu to "Headset/Volume Control" and make the necessary changes. Then plug it back into your router.
That should do the trick. Please let me know if this does or doesn't work for the mJ+ 2014. I'm really curious.

i clicked on the link at the top of the home page it said this:

Ask Tech Support Now
Magic-Jack.JustAnswer.com

i clicked on it filled out question and other info they wanted and pending on the question determines the price. so when i ask my question they said it would be 38 bucks and a form to pay. that is where i got that from. why is that at the top of the home page? it is missleading.. thanks

thank you for your answer. i set up mj+2014 into computer to get it working then i pluged it into the wall outlet so i did not have to leave it in my computer. well i plugged it back into my computer it did no update other than when i first plugged it in. but i did what you said to do to access the menue and the volume was set real low for both so i turned them up almost to make and now it works great for me now thank you so much.
