I thought this was a tech form not a joke form there is a 75% difference in the ping but the other has 50% better up load i want to pick a new site area code doesn't matter since i'm in canada. I would go with the shorter ping time. This is a rather poor analogy but it's kind of like two trains leaving their respective stations at the same time, going roughly the same speed. Train one will arrive sooner than train two, but once they arrive you can count the passing cars at about the same rate.plochhead wrote:Which of these sites are better for mj and why

You answer is quite simple. Whichever site provides the smoothest download. If you do the speed test and the needle on your little meter vibrates instead of making a smooth climb, I would say that site will cause you problems because of jitter. I know that doesn't sound very technical, but I was experiencing all sorts of problems and when I ran a speed test where I could actually watch the bandwidth work, I saw the trouble right away. Try speakeasy.net/speedtest and do speed tests from various locations and you will see what I mean.
Windows Vista and Laptop with XP SP2 on the road. Occasionally, a Mac if my Windows machine isn't working.
