Help!! Cannot make or receive calls on vista

I have installed MJ as instructed. The soft phone comes up and when I dial my cordless home phone the numbers appear on the softphone. after the numbers dial the line is quiet, nothing happens!!!! I call my cell to test and the cell doesn't ring. When I tried to call my new MJ line from my cell, I got a message to check the number and try again. I tried again about 20 mins later after doing some things and I got the message that the person you are calling is unavailable and to leave a message.

Very frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before you pick up the phone, does the softphone show "ready to call"? If so, when you dial the last digit, watch the softphone closely and report what messages you see.

Be sure to dial 10 (or 11) digits -- 7-digit dialing does not work with MJ.

I have had my MJ since April 11th and experienced the same problem with my cell. Everything else worked fine and since I never call myself on the cell I let it slide. Yesterday morning I tried again and the cell is now working for incoming and outgoing calls. I guess someone threw the right switch. I am sure glad because now I can talk to my self again. Be patient and everything will work itself out I believe. The MJ is definetly a keeper.
