Should be located here:

C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc

I think I remembered that right. When you open it with Notepad, you may have to click on "All Files", otherwise it won't show up since it doesn't have a .txt extension.

Hi,
Thank you for yur note. All that seems to be there is just "example" files from Microsoft, but nothing at all in reference of MJ.

Any other thoughts?

Thank you

jwryahoo,

The server that MJ uses is coded into the MJ applications or DLLs someplace and I know some people here have a utility that gets into the information and allows them to change it but I think MagicJack frowns on people changing it.

You might try PMing "Laserjob" or "Stewart" and see if they can help you. In any case I don't think it is something that people talk about in the open forum much. Also I remember reading someplace that MagicJack has encrypted some of that stuff to prevent people from change the server information.

This is mostly hear-say on my part so I may be way off base.

Based on HolmanGT's response, I may have misunderstood the question... I thought you were just looking for the Hosts file. Beyond that, I probably can't offer much help.

Darkman90808,

Misunderstood - maybe both of us. I read it as if he wanted to change the server that MJ links into and he had assumed it would be in the HOST file. But I am positive that MJ hides that information.

I am also pretty sure anyone that ask from here on out may have a difficult time getting a public response MJ doesn't like people doing that and the folks that know how don't want MJ to know they know.
