The Phones I Was Using

Post by magicjackjoe »

I started with a $6.00 Emerson - Slimline from Wal-Mart - bought it sole for the purpose of testing MJ. Phone worked fine but would not ring. Plugged GE 5.8 GHZ phone in and whamo - ringer came alive. Am going to return the SlimLine to WalMart and get something else in its place. The GE and two satellites are hooked up and running with VIA TALK - don't want to drop VIA TALK unless or win MJ proves itself to put self sufficient. Thanks for asking MagicBob.

Vtech DECT 6.0 Digital Two Phones system

Post by BillyH »

I had a old phone 900 MHz Uniden phone it work ok with MJ. Now I have a phone that come from Wal-Mart a Vtech DECT 6.0 Digital two handset cordless phone system with caller ID and handset speakerphone. It work very good with MJ. I have had MJ up since the 19th of May and so for I have save over $21.00 on my LD calls. I call my Grandson up about every day and talk with him he is from Tucson, AZ. I save 10 cent a min. "That what I would have to pay with Windstream for all my LD calling.
Have A Good Day.

Interesting, because I bought the same Emerson phone from Wal-Mart and it rings (or whatever that sound is it makes) with magicJack.

I have the same Emerson phone. Light weight for portability. Voice quality good, rings as it should. However, there is a flashing light on this phone that is supposed to flash when it rings. This does not work on the magic jack but does work on the land line. It is not a big deal and no inconvenience.
