Conference bridge passcodes don't work via phone key in

Post by soulstormdotcom »

I'm using the mJ to dial into conference bridges. Typically these bridge services start off w/a recording asking you for your conference code (aka passcode) and when I key in the passcode via my phone I hear the audible tones play, mJ also prints them to the GUI, but the conference service does not hear them and I am disconnected from the call. I can only get the conference service to hear them if I type in the code from the GUI and hit SEND. It's a workaround but not the habit of us phone users. It would be nice if there's a fix for this so user's can key in everything from the phone without having to use the GUI and hitting send.

I mean the mJ allows us to key in a 10digit number from our phone and it automatically transmits this but not what you key in after the call starts. You need to send it manually from the GUI and if I was using a cordless phone that would mean I'd have to be near my PC to send the passcode via the GUI.

This problem has been discussed in their various forms. To summarize, it's a known problem and no current fix that I am aware of.

The problem is TWO tones are sent with a very short pause, this confuses the IVR. Try leaving some tones to your voicemail and you will see what I mean.
