Not technical enough to figure out if my questions are here

Post by Bella »

If I understand this right, I could pick any area code because calling our is free. People calling me from a state other than the one I have an area code for would be charged a toll charge.

I have DSL with Verizon, there stech support people told me If I dropped my land line they would set up a "dry loop" for my DSL that would not take any bandwith away from the phone. My phones a cordless 5.8 GIG - 1base, and 4 handsets.

A friend of mine said this to me in an e-mail I do not have a clue what he was talking about does anyone else. Answer in 3rd grade english please

A good question for you to find out is how does your IP number (MagicJack) register (SIP/H323 Gatekeeper/Gateway/Proprietary)? The forums are your best bet for this info. Look for PBX connections.

Thank you everyone.

Have re-read your message several times and see several facts including what cordless phones you have, the fact you have DSL and the fact that the Internet company have offered to add a dry loop. Can you clarify what is your question?
