MJ with vista and sprint broadband - No ready to call - HELP
Installed MJ and have dialtone-- Displays connect to internect or double-click, can get to google and MJ.com through softpad so it is connected to internet. Will not display ready to call -- cannot call out or receive calls. My computer is a toshiba laptop with vista, we have a sprint data card with broadband -- tested the speed and have enough. I tell you to call me if you could!! Please help!!!!

There is another user with a CDMA modem who is having the same problem; I'm completely stumped. However, some users with CDMA are running OK. Can you take the computer to a friend's or neighbor's with a different ISP and see if you have the same trouble? Cable or DSL would be best, though I realize that if you're in the middle of nowhere, that won't be possible. In such a case, perhaps fixed wireless or even satellite (voice quality may be poor, but at least it should show ready to call).dlbdale.3 wrote:Installed MJ and have dialtone-- Displays connect to internect or double-click, can get to google and MJ.com through softpad so it is connected to internet. Yes, we have registered and have a phone number. We have done the fix and download for Vista serveral times. I can click on the banner to left and go onto the internet and also click the magicjack logo and go directly onto the site. So the softpad I believe is connected to the internet but we cannot make a call or receive a call and the ready to call doesn't display. Where can I find how it is going online?
Try to capture from your modem interface using Wireshark. This thread http://www.phoneservicesupport.com/cann ... t1600.html has a screenshot of a normal MJ startup. The system discussed in that thread does some DNS lookups for talk4free.com servers, but shows no packets directed to those servers. Please let me know if yours does the same. Since you are in the US, it should be much easier to debug. If you are not sure which is the correct interface to select in Wireshark, go to Capture->Interface and look for the one with your IP address.
