Do I need to do these steps and how?

First of all my MJ is working great; with some tweating and this forum's help.

But reading all the post I have a question or two.

1) "Now I installed divx player from www.divx.com" ; from the forum.

Should I do this anyway to get the drives on my system?

2) Ran the magic fix from this link www.magicjacktv.com/1/magicfix.asp

Is it different and/or better than the fix on my softphone control panel?

3) "In Reg edit, gave full control to the USB and USB STOR for everyone"

Mine is set to (3) manual; is there a better setting; say "auto" or something better?
