Is your "Call Waiting" broken?
My Call Waiting is broken. I have tried a few different phones. When hitting Flash, to switch over to the incoming call, all parties are joined, and all parties can hear me, but can not hear each other. Obviously this is not what is intended with Call Waiting. Its more like I have a broken 3-way call, then Call Waiting. I am sure I am not the only one experiencing this, as I have seen a couple of post on the forums, with similar complaints.
The Scenario to reproduce the bug.
#1: Call someone.
#2: Have someone else call you:
#3: Hit Flash, to switch callers.
Enjoy, broken Call Waiting.

After you put the first person on hold using the flash button you have to hit ## to go to three way calling.
I've never gotten it to work but that's because I don't have a flash button on my phone and don't see one on the magicjack pop up phone.
Does anyone know if there is a flash button on the pop up phone?

Have both parties call you.
With one party on the line, and one on hold (using call waiting), simply press ## to start a three-way call.
Press #* to end the three-way call.
Call waiting is controlled by hitting the green talk button on your phone (which is also marked flash on most handsets)
The softphone works as well, you hit the send button when the second call comes in. Also, if two people call you, you hit the ## on your softphone to open the three way calling.
As in the first post on this thread, you can't call someone and have someone else call you to use the three way conf call. Both parties must call you for this to work.
When you put the first caller on hold, they will hear music while they wait on hold....
I just tested all this using my landline and a cell phone.....works great

I just tried it too and it sure does work, but...... why doesn't the software magicjack phone have a flash button for call waiting?
I had to get the phone from my bedroom and hook it into magicjack as it is the only one with a flash button. Called myself with a land line and cell phone and 3-way worked fine. But the magicjack software phone needs a flash button as I prefer using that and a headset for MJ calls.

The send button on your softphone is also your 'flash' button....it just doesn't say that on the softphone but works just the same.gp wrote:I just tried it too and it sure does work, but...... why doesn't the software magicjack phone have a flash button for call waiting?

Today my friend called me. While talking to him my mother called. The phone beeped, I hit send on the phone and talked with her. Once I was done talking to her I hit send to go back to my friend. He was still there, and asked me "what was that, you got music that plays when you put me on hold?"
So yes my call waiting is working, and to my surprise it has "soft" music playing in the background for the waiting party.
