area code pending

Post by jeannie »

If my area code is "pending", does that mean I can't use Magicjack in my area? Does that also mean that phone calls in that area won't be received?

You can still receive magicJack service, but you can't have a phone number with that pending area code.

Does that mean that if I use an area code that is not my actual area code, I can make and receive calls while in that pending
area code area?

Don't worry about it... Just check every couple days, remember you can change numbers 1 time for free. Magic jack is still worth it though... It took 2-3 weeks for my area code to become available again, post what area code you are wanting and see if any one else has gotten it. I think the numbers go quick because Magic Jack is taking off and I bet they can't reserve a ton of numbers in a single area code because that takes $$$

Hope that helps!

I saw a suggestion that a Grand Central number can be gotten and transferred or forwarded to Magicjack. If this is done, will calls be able to be made within a pending area code location?
