Hi,
I was talking to my wireless high speed provider who is also my tech helper and good friend.

He said he went and read all the tech stuff at the MJ site and learned this:

MJ develops a bowl of garbage as it is used. Kinda like Cache on our pcs.
This can cause a problem if we talk for say 45min. or an hr.

This makes the following call imperfect. He said I need to restart my pc to clean the "bowl" after long calls.

He said that Vonage doesn't have this proble because it uses a box outside the pc that takes care of this Bowl of garbage.

He saqid the ultimate for MJ would be if they made it to plug into a router.

Anyway I was just wondering if anyone is aware of this and if there is an easy way to flush this bowl without rebooting.

He said because it is usb you probably can only flush by rebooting. And maybe pulling the MJ out and plugging it back in may flush it.

Sorry, but I think your ISP is feeding you a 'bowl of garbage'.

I have talked for over three hours on my MJ and it caused no issues to my system. My MJ also stays connected with my laptop running 24/7.

Just curious, who is your ISP with??

Bowl of garbage? Is there a better term he could use, like maybe, temp files? The only garbage I see is from using the official softphone software, which does feed your pc Ads. Now you do not have to worry about this if you use a ATA (adapter outside the pc) or 3rd party softphone, but this does require you to "get" your sip credentials.

From a practical perspective, I, and I'm sure many others have had extended conversations without subsequent problems. Besides, I can't imagine whoever you spoke with could find very much information on the MJ web site. This is where all the action is.

MJ does not fill up your cache on a conversation. Open task manger and watch your memory when you are on a call if you are concerned
