Call Quality is awful

Post by jeffnyc »

Since I am now back to using the mj device since they pluggted the ata hole I am really big problems with call quality. The calls are very choppy, to the point of being inaudible.

What else do you have running on your computer? Torrents? Do you have QOS setup on your router?

No Torrents. No QOS. Not sure how to set up QOS. Especially with MJ being on a usb.

I'm able to give priority to SIP.
Router is running dd-wrt sp2 (or might be sp3 forget right now)

Depends on sophistication of your Router.

If IP based, then give priority to the IP of the PC MJ is connected to.
If Port based, then give priority to UDP 5060 & 5070 (I do both).

I go even a step further I give priority to the ethernet port on the router itself.
And for the MAC address of my network card.
