Computer shuts down when trying to install Magic Jack

I got my mj yesterday and spent 3 hours trying to install it and to get help from customer service. When I plug mj into usb drive nothing happens. I contacted customer service with their live service. They told me to upgrade because I have vista on my computer and sent me a link. When I use this link my computer shows a blue page with white letters, saying windows shuts down now to prevent damage to my computer. I have to restart my computer then. I contacted MJ customer service serveral times and always had to start explaining my problem again. The only help I got was that link for upgrading over and over again. They did not believe me that my computer shuts down when I use this link. What can I do to get my mj going?
