Magic Jack must be rebooted after and before each call

Post by glenn »

I do not get any dial tone unless I unplug MJ and then plug it back into my computer, incoming calls-calling party can hear me but I can not hear them-one way audio. For each use I have to either unplug MJ or run up grade. You can not reach a person for tech support, their web site just takes you around in a circle. There is no way to reach anyone from Magic Jack. I think I just wasted my money. I would not recommend this device to anyone. I have been using it now for about 3 months and it has never worked correctly.

mj not for every computer

I'm a relatively savy computer user and became increasingly frustrated that I had to constantly reload the VISTA upgrade, my system kept locking up or slowing everything down, the restarts were anoying to say the least, and it cost me a lot of valuable time wasted messing with magicJack. I've contacted them and am returning it this morning. At least it only cost me return postage. (I hope.) Of course, MJ still must credit my account! "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." That is the case with magicJack with my experience. Caveat emptor.
