I decided to use the Intel Atom MB with a 90W Pico PSU, a 4G CF as a hard drive and XP. Total hardware cost was ~ $160. Power consumption is < 50W. Estimated 24/7 operating cost/mo is ~ $4. Works just fine for continuous MJ use.

go ahead, just give up.... why not help the debugging reverse engineering effort than just flopping over and spending money which could rightly go to another sip service that WILL work with your ata?

Newegg has it for 65 shipped. Also, look at the Via C3 boards. This is actually overkill for just a magicjack box. Why not just get a thin client for 60 bucks??

Thanks for the info ... might make a decent NAS homebrew due to Serial ATA header (something thin clients don't have).

If you go this route, you might as well get the CLF2 version which is the dual Atom 1.6.
