changing the phone number MJ initially assigns

My daughter is 25 years old and is single. She is on some dating websites and has on two occasions in the last 18 months had to change her phone number because she had given it to someone she had been emailing thru the dating website that she had thought would be a good person to talk with on the phone. Then after a couple dates my daughter was no longer interested in him for whatever reason but since she had given him her phone number he kept calling even though she'd asked him not to do so. So she wound up having to change her phone number just to get him off her back - and then tell all her family, friends, work associates, etc. the new number, which was a big hassle. She was thinking about using MJ as her "dedicated" number for dating, it being the only number she'd give out to dating prospects and using her regular phone line and landline for non-dating purposes as she always has. She wondered, though, if she needed to change the MJ number every few months because some guy was abusing it as above, what would be involved in getting a new number in the SAME area code?

I have a MJ and tried to find the answer on the MJ website. The closest I could get was this:

"Would you like to change your phone number to one from a different area?
You may do this once free of charge.
After that, we charge $10 to assign a new phone number to your magicJack"

That answer doesn't apply because she would NOT want to change the phone number to a different "area". In fact she'd want to make sure that it would remain in the same area (code?) as before. She lives in Atlanta and would want to keep her 404 area code, just change the 7 digit number WITHIN that area code. Her number would be (404) xxx-xxxx and she would want it to be (404) yyy-yyyy.

Also, if she wanted, could she change the number every month or two if she wished, and if so for what price (like a "disposable" phone number)?

You can only change the number to a different area code

If MJ won't allow you to change just the number, obviously you can:
change area code, then change area code again, at a cost of $10 (1st one is free).

This may not help you right now, but it sounds like GrandCentral.com would really be helpful here. She should give out a GC number instead of the MJ number and have GC forward to MJ. GC has the ability to block incoming calls on a per number basis. So if she decides she never wants a call from SchmuckX again, she simply has to put that number on the GC blacklist and those calls will be blocked forever...
