MJ site "area codes" page no longer lists cities??

Post by Phil »

I'm looking at this page -- http://www.magicjack.com/areacodes/ -- which used to have a list of area codes and cities, along with the status for each (available; pending; et cetera). Now the cities are gone from that page; it just says 502 is available; 606 will be available in 30 days; etc.

I've got 502 currently, and that's long distance for POTS phones in this area (in 606) ... but then again, most of 606 is also long distance for POTS phones here. I'd like to switch numbers if something "local" becomes available, but the area codes by themselves are completely useless to me as information.

I've looked all over the MJ site, and can't find any further information. Any way to find out once again what cities and prefixes MJ uses? Thanks,

Phil

I am amazed how MJ can continually take a good thing and make it worse.

What's the problem??

Go to my.magicjack.com, login and choose "CHANGE PHONE NUMBER". You'll be directed to a page where you can choose an area code, and see all available exchanges for the area code selected. You can click "Cancel" to get out of that page, your number will not be changed until you confirm the change.

Yes, that is true; however, the list of area codes and cities was so much easier and didn't require a click-this, click-that method.
