My Review on a Compaq Armada M300 laptop w/ PII 333 and 256M

Ordered this past Wednesday, 9/17/2008 and got in the mail this morning, 9/20/2008 via USPS 1st Class.

• Plugged it into the USB 1.1 slot on the laptop.
  It was immediately recognized and configured.
  Selected my phone number using the wizard.
  Plugged in my 2.4GHz cordless phone and called my cell.
  It worked with no fuss and no muss.
  Unplugged the single phone and plugged it in the whole house jack that TW phone service was occupying.
  Everything works as intended.

Called my dad in New Mexico and it worked better that the TW service ever did. He said I was as clear as a bell. I couldn't ask for too much more, especially for $20 a year. I am keeping the TW service active for a couple more weeks to shake out some bugs, but I have a feeling that my monthly expenses just went down about $30 a month.

What can I say, it works as intended. I do have it plugged into a dedicated system so maybe that is the trick to having it work. Given the specs on the hardware, you could pick this laptop up on CL for under a $100 easy.
