my conference number is not working 1-888-844-7278.
Hi:
My conference number used to work before 2 days.
Now it is not working. WHen I dial the number it should ask for access code. It just rings directly and connects to customer service.
I even called MagicJack customer service. They said it is something on the server side.It will be fixed in a few hours. No difference.Still I can't use the above number. I can dial other numbers fine.It is just this number.

fails to connect to certain bridge lines
I am having the exact same problem. I noticed it starting on 9/6.. But I didn't use the phone to call any of my conference lines over the weekend. Not sure about the number you listed but all the ones that I fail to connect to are AT&T bridge lines. I am able to connect to other (non AT&T) bridge lines. Something definitely changed over the weekend. I was able to connect to these 8XX numbers prior using magicJack and had been doing so for months..
Bridge line ?
Is this an AT&T bridge line that you are having issues with? All the 8XX numbers that I have that don't work are AT&T. I wonder if they did something to their bridge lines systems over the weekend.. I have placed calls to AT&T and have gotten no response. I have gone to MagicJack support and got to a second level person who said they would send it to engineering.. But I can't seem to get anyone to give me any answers or provide any solutions.

You're certainly welcome, but the thanks really goes to one of the original forum posters, Stewart. Haven't seen him post anything for a while, which is a real loss. He came up with the solution using the asterisk symbol to dial 800#'s and also, I believe, Canadian numbers.
At any rate, I'm glad it worked.

It has been a longstanding off-and-on issue with MJ and (in particular) ATT ... don't know who to "blame" or thank for this one.Darkman90808 wrote:You're certainly welcome, but the thanks really goes to one of the original forum posters, Stewart. Workarounds as posted by Stewart or use GrandCentral "click2call" feature where it becomes an inbound call -- tedious, but works as well.
