I have been using the Magicjack over a high-speed cable connection for several weeks now as my "office number" and the quality and reliability are amazing. I have it hooked up to a GE corded basestation (with several cordless handsets throughout my office) and it sounds better than a land-line. I did try some AT&T cordless handsets at first but they were crap. I literally had to speak 1 cm from the mic to be heard clearly. The GE products work really, really well. I am running an adware/spyware free version of Windows XP (SP3) on about a 6 year-old HP media center PC and I'm able to surf the web, watch episodes of southpark (not on work time of course!) and listen to .mp3's with NO interference to the quality of the phone connection.
