Call forwarding and voicemail blinking light issue

Forwarding calls :

I can forward my calls fine but does anyone know why there is no delay when someone calls me at home, I mean it should ring first on my magicjack phone, then after 3 attemps rings on my cell phone but NO, it goes straight to my cell phone. Skype has that feature for the skype username but it rings first 4 times on your skype software then go to the cell phone. I mean I could be still at home and dont want to answer my cell phone if I can simply answer my magicjack phone cause I am still at home..Any solutions for that?

Voicemail Light :

My voicemail light is not flashing when I have voice messages, do you have a fix for that? Magicjack technician had escalated the problem to the experts technician as usual but I dont know when they will call me...let me know if there is a fix for it?

If you mean the softphone voicemail light, MagicJack has told me it is not currently a feature of the product. They have that light on the VMAIL button for no reason. Said it may be a future option.

No hes not, the flashing light on the phone. Depending on your phone you should be able to disable the voicemail indicator.

Kumar and Xen,

I was talking about the button on the magicjack softphone but since that light was not flashing, I thought that was because of that too that my physical phone does not show any voicemail indicator, and I do have voicemail indicator on my phone, do you know how to get it working, my phone is a vtech t2326 24ghz..I tried to put it on Yes for voicemail messages alert but still no messages alerts indicator when I have voicemail, try to call the phone company, they told me I was going the right way to set up the voice messages alert, but still not working...Any ideas, do you think is a problem from my physical phone? or since the option on the magicjack softphone does not exist yet, that is the reason why the indicator does not work either on my physical phone?

Let me know guys!! that will be appreciated!

vjmagicjack,

That VM light is a feature of the Skin they used but there is no MagicJack technology behind it to make it work.

I also would like to have it functional, but it looks like they are going to just leave it with email notification instead (at least for the time being). Actually I think the email with the recording attached is pretty handy and maybe even more functional than the light.

But if you are like me and the green light is there it should work or remove it from the skin...

I see your point HolmanGT about the VM light,

Any idea why my physical phone does not show the messages alerts or simply does not give me a continous dial tone sound when I have voicemail?

i get an alert on my phone....i have a blinking led on my uniden phone.....It never stops blinking...still looking for a fix:-D

I am very sure that MagicJack just does not send the required signals like a normal Telco would. You can always do a chat with the MJ Techs tomorrow and verify what I am saying. Although some of the techs don't seem to have a very good understanding of the product they represent so you may get some very vague answers.
