Using MagicJack

Post by mzbusiness »

I'm really new here and I've been looking around for answers but I'm a bit overwhelmed with all this info. I'm running W2K and as we all know the MJ software does support this OS. So when I plug up my MJ it cannot load the software but when I plug in my phone I get a dial tone. I downloaded the IP Phone Center software looking for a work around. When testing the IP Phone Center ring test that worked. Tried to configure netmeeting to work with it just because it was readily available on my system but that failed. Can anyone help me setup my MJ so that I just pick up my phone and dial out. Of course I'd like to receive calls on my regular phone as well.
Thanks in advance.

I thought I saw something on this bug I thought on the MJ website... under their FAQ's... In any case... I had this happen to me one time... All i did was shutdown (npot restart) my laptop, and removed the MJ... then I started up the laptop again... and after windows loaded completly, I inserted the MJ again.. and all went well after that.

If that does not work, I'm sure someone esle will answer on this site... or search around on Google for installation problems. 8)
