Telemarketers
Is there a script or addon for magicjack that when a telemarketer will call you and you don't answer, it will automatically call that telemarketer back and request for you not to be on their call list?
You can add your number to the do not call list via the web site at https://www.donotcall.gov/ and you will not recieve these calls.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT
THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY
The National Do Not Call Registry gives you a choice about whether to receive telemarketing calls at home. Most telemarketers should not call your number once it has been on the registry for 31 days. If they do, you can file a complaint at this Website. You can register your home or mobile phone for free.

Re: Telemarketers
It wouldn't be hard to write such a script. I don't have time, but could tell someone how to do it.DatTape wrote:Is there a script or addon for magicjack that when a telemarketer will call you and you don't answer, it will automatically call that telemarketer back and request for you not to be on their call list?
FYI, I've heard that if you record your voice mail so that the first part is the "dee-dee-dah" of the "This number has changed" recording, most automated telemarketing systems will drop you from their list.
Here's a .wav file of the sound:

You'd have to use something like the freeware Audacity audio program to mix this sound, with your voice greeting (a second after the tone), and then play it into line-in when you call your MJ voice mail to record your greeting.
The downside is, good callers will have to hear those tones, perhaps getting confused about what it means.

do not call list
What good is the do not call list when they call with nothing on the caller id and they hang up on you when you ask them anything?
Re: do not call list
Well, since it's free.. its worth a try. It may prevent them from calling them at all.....DatTape wrote:What good is the do not call list when they call with nothing on the caller id and they hang up on you when you ask them anything?
