I just noticed that my SIP ATA wasn't working. I was like what the hell? So then i played around with it for 30 minutes and see that the philadelphia proxy is down. Just wanted to give a heads up to those who are/were on it.

Does anyone know how magicJack notifies their customers ahead of time, so that we can prepare for these outages?

LosAngeles proxy is down right now...
seems that there is some (poor) server selection mechanism built in the softphone, as I noticed that my recent MJ traffic was re-routed through Atlanta. Still better than the case on ATA

+ auto balance, never(?) offline
- can't select server
ATA:
+ can select server
- make sure the server is up
