I have had MJ for two months and it has worked great. This morning it will not dial correctly. It only dials some of the numbers. I tested it with another phone and the same problem. It dials fine from the MJ keypad.
Any suggestions?

There was a big upgrade that broke a lot of people. Did you notice a change in the softphone appearance, where your phone number moved to the left side of the title bar (top)? It used to be in the center, beneath "Ready to call."mjc8870 wrote:I will try another phone and post my outcome
Did the problem start at the same time that appearance change occurred? If so, you might be in deep "Lucky You." (The message that displays during an upgrade.).

Well, just as a matter of odds, it's probably due to the softphone upgrade instead of something randomly going wrong with your USB ports or handset.mjc8870 wrote:yes, it did happen today
I haven't detected any consistent remedies. Some people have said that restarting MJ fixes it. Others have been redirected to the registration screen like they need to re-register, but only have to enter userID and password.
I'd recommend trying to make a call with the softphone. Just call the echo number (909-390-0003) to see if you can make the call. If that works, it might be worthwhile to fiddle with your USB ports, a USB hub, a different handset.
If no one else has suggestions, your only choice may be to mentally prepare for a 3-hour chat session, go to the MJ site, and follow the link to get tech support via chat.
PS: One other thing you might try is the "fix" button above the "send" button. That is supposed to run "magic fix." I'm sure chat support would tell you to do this too. So, you might as well try it.

I just purchased a $ 10 ATT corded phone and the dialing works from the phone. For some reason the dialing stopped working when I had my cordless and one satellite cordless connected. This only occurred after the dec 25 upgrade.
At least now I can dial out from corded telephone but I rather have my cordless connected so I can walk around house and talk.

I would try the powered USB hub. It's been reported in other threads that the upgrade causes the USB device to use more power than it used to (maybe processing more instructions). It seemed like it was always on the cusp of USB's power standard. This seems to have pushed it over the edge for more people.mjc8870 wrote:I just purchased a $ 10 ATT corded phone and the dialing works from the phone. This USB hub has been recommended by other MJ users. It appears to be sold by an MJ user. You could ask him/her if they've encountered any cases where even this isn't enough after the upgrade:
