failed to contact your service provider

Post by howardse22 »

My magic jack WOULD be great, I guess, if it would work. I can't get it to work because it keeps telling me 'failed to contact your service provider. Make sure you have a working connection to the internet.' I DO have an internet connection....I really DO! I have a gsm connection, but can't find on their site anywhere that that's a no no. I downloaded all of the update stuff on their site, but it still doesn't work. I even talked to tech support and they couldn't help me either. Does anyone here have any suggestions? The thing lights, it seems to work other than the not finding my connection thing.
Help!
Sincerely,
Sue Ell.

"I have a gsm connection"

Are you saying you have it hooked to your GSM cell phone?

"GSM connection" could mean that she uses a wired/wireless router with a SIM slot (or PC card with SIM slot) for GSM's EDGE/GPRS/HSDPA high-speed data connection.

Here are some:
- Dlink DIR-451: 3G Mobile Router for UMTS/HSDPA Networks
