call's broken up..

Post by Rory »

My house is in a dead zone, I have to go outside for my cell to work, Skype doesn't work either, I do have broadband that won't support VOIP, (yeah they want me to buy their expensive telephony)

So I got Magic Jack and while I can hear the other person perfectly, I sound all broken up.

Any suggestions

Make a speed test on your connection to see your upload at http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest and make a VoIP test at http://myvoipspeed.visualware.com/

Thanks for those link!
download is 524 kbps, upload 701 kbps
542.9 m jitter; .5% packet loss

for Route, it said I had %100 packet loss and this could be due to firewalls in the route.

So is my WildBlue Broadband  which I'll chuck. If so

I'm in Chapel Hill, NC and need to find a voip supportive broadband. Is there a link where I can do this...
