Handset rings but uses laptop speakers??
Well, I've had lots of problems and this is just another. Right now when I dial a number or receive a call it rings throught the HANDset, and once they pick up it changes over to the computer! I can hear them talk on my speakers but not through the phone. I tried going to volume/headset control and it has headset selected. It wont let me change it to telephone even though it's connected and even though it has worked in the past. What is wrong?

Hello there, zel.
On magicJack's official FAQ it states:
On magicJack's official FAQ it states:
I hope that fixed your problem.Blue Light is Not on / I Cannot Click Telephone in Menu?
After magicFix has finished, unplug your magicJack, wait 15 seconds, then plug it back in.
If that did not work, CLICK HERE to download and run the "Recover Tool".

Well, I tried the recovery program and that didn't work, and when I went to sounds, speakers were already made the default. So I still don't know what's wrong. =( It's like it's on speaker phone through my computer. It's pretty annoying too, because the person I'm talking to on the phone can hear their own echo from the computer speakers.
