Dial Plans to Access VM via ATA device

Post by fmaresca »

I have one remaining issue regarding my ATA set-up, accessing voicemail.

For now when I dial my MagicJack number from the phone my ATA (an old Sunrocket gizmo, 211-SR) is connected to I just get a busy signal.

My thought is it may be the dialing plan I have under my SIP settings:
(>#|911|611|411|311|00|0T|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|1[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxT|011[2-9]x.T|*x.T) needs to be edited.

I have done a search of this forum and these are the dialing plans I have found (I have changed the area codes to mine (516) in the ones I found).

The question I have is which works the best (or did I miss a dial plan that would work)? Any further modifications to these if you are dialing internationally?

(<:5*16>[2-9]xxxxxx|1x<:*>xx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|[2-9]<:*>xx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|*xx|[369]11|0|00|xxxxxxxxxxxx.|<411:18004664411>)

(*xx |11|0|00 |<:1516>[2-9]xx xxxx |<:1> [2-9]xx [2-9]xx xxxxS0 |<:0119>0[2-9]xx xxx xxxxS0 |102 xxx xxxxS0 |xx xxx xxx xxxx.|xx xxx xxxx xxxx.|xx xxxx xxxx xxxx.|xxx xxxx xxxx xxxx.)

(*xx|911|<411:18004664411>|[235678]11!|<:1516>[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|<:1>[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxxS0)

Are there other SIP settings that might cause this problem that I should look into?

Thanks in advance.

Anyway, been up and running for about 10 days and all works very well execept I can't access my voicemail on the same phone line, it immediately goes into voicemail (as it should) but ignores when I hit the * or # key, so I can't get to my password to retrieve my messages. Any former Sunrocket users out there with my gizmo have a fix they can share with me???

I still think it has to do with the dial plan, but I can't figure out how to make the required changes. Also, for some reason when I add the google 411 toll free dial plan string the result is a busy signal. Dialing from another phone line (different phone number), I can dial that 411 number and access my Voice Mail too.

Any suggestions?

I am using PAP2NA and i have the following dial plan

*xx|911|<411:18004664411>|[235678]11!|<:1516>[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|<:1>[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxxS0
PS 516 --> My area code

I am able to access voicemail by just calling my own number and pressing * as soon as my unavaliable message starts.

Well thanks to one of our forum members via numerous PMs he was able to help me fix it. It was more than just the dial plan, as I had to change my settings on sip-line 1 and sip-extensions.

If anyone else runs into the same problem that I did, feel free to PM me and I will return the favor by sharing my revised settings to my AC-211SR.
