at my home pc it works fine but I went to a friends house now when I call someone I can hear them just fine but they say I keep breaking up

If it's choppy and garbled, there is a wiki FAQ entry describing how to potentially improve that condition. Maybe also change the proxy your MJ connects to (to see if it's specific to the proxy) as described in the wiki FAQ entry.
And, if you're using a handset, I would disconnect the handset and use the softphone with a headset to isolate whether the problem is specific to MJ, or to your USB/device/phone.
