Spoiled tomato?

After reading az2008 thread about upping the “voice” ports to 30,000 I noticed after I called our home Verizon # with MJ for a test, wasn’t seeing the “vms1.citytalk4 free.com” I used to see after calls made.
Screen shot of “View Details”, I'm guessing that top line with D port of 5070 is the call I just made...

made a few more calls, refreshed, still no “vms1.citytalk4 free.com”…?

Anyway, the MJ still sounds great calling to it or answering on it!

Thought maybe az2008 has an idea?

It's probably a problem with dns resolution. About a week or two ago MJ broke its DNS resolution in many regions. You can't nslookup an IP address (which is what Tomato is doing for you).

But, you see the other address in your list which is similar to the proxy1 address. It's on a port in the 20000 range. That's the RTP/vms connection.

So, Tomato is working. Just the DNS resolution doesn't work.

BTW: MagicJack support used to tell people to change their DNS to use NS0.talk4free.com. You can go to http://www.kloth.net/services/nslookup.php and put that DNS server name in the "server" field. And, enter 66.104.96.203 from your Tomato screen. It will resolve to vms1.columbus.talk4free.com
