Hi,
Since I was running the MJ server 16hrs a day I decided to turn the host computer into a FTP/Web/Printer server. Of course I wanted to give the MJ service priority.
I found this software called cFosSpeed. It's like QoS but not done through the router but done on the actual MagicJack computer.
It has a number of options but the one I use it for mainly is establishing network priority for the various uses of the server. It can be done by protocol and by program. For example I put the RTP protocol at the highest priority and then I put "magicjack.exe" (that uses the port 5070) at high priority, printer/web/ftp/remote desktop at the lowest.
I've been using it this way for a couple of weeks and I've printed, uploaded, downloaded with no effects on my VOIP.

The wiki also mentions http://www.netlimiter.com/ which is also a commercial QoS-like tool.Mr_Dasher wrote:I found this software called cFosSpeed. It's like QoS but not done through the router but done on the actual MagicJack computer.
