call drops on receiver for a few seconds

is there a solution for this?

i'm still connected, but can't hear the person i've called talking every once in a while for a few seconds on a panasonic cordless phone next to the pc?

Do you have the Panasonic in speakerphone mode? If so, noise in the room is causing it to switch to transmit. Speakerphones are not full duplex. They only work in one direction at a time. Turn off the speakerphone and your drop out problem should go away.

I have the same problem with a Panasonic set. I never use the speaker phone and the conversation will still go silent at times. This problem has been noticed on at least 2 different remote phones.

My 30 day trial just ended a few days ago and I just started having the same problem on any phone I try.

my phone (a new panasonic 5.8ghz) is not on speaker when problem occurs. i'm going to try a different older panasonic phone today that uses 2.4ghz and see if problem goes away.

will report back.

My MJ does this too no matter if I am using a cordless phone or a corded one. I called MJ and spent over 2 hours doing a bunch of stuff and for awhile it seemed to stop, but within a couple of days it was back doing it again.

its a problem at MJs end server overload most likely.
Try to change the proxy it connects to that might help.

I'm starting to have the same problem now. Has anyone notice if they still get the same problem if they use the headset instead of the telephone.. ??

i recently installed a program called 'shutdown scheduler' on my pc & after uninstalling the problem went away.

as an added note..always remember to give magicjack.exe in task manager high priority every time you start your pc.

as gilda radner on saturday night live frequently said "it's always something."

keep an eye on new programs you install that may affect your VOIP service, regardless of which program.[/b]
