Many of you might have been experiencing MagicJack not starting upon Windows boot. If you double-click the MagicJack icon and a message appears saying "You Must Plug MagicJack Into USB" in red text, then I might have a solution. It could have something to do with Power Management in Windows "turning off" power to you Magic Jack. Here is how I fixed it:
Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel
Double-click System -> Hardware -> Device Manager
Under Device Manager expand "Universal Serial Bus Controllers"
In most cases you will have two devices named "USB Root Hub". Double-click it.
Click on the "Power Management" tab.
Uncheck "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power."
This isn't a solution to the problem, but it might help. Magic Jack has been loading every time for me. Feedback appreciated.

Someone also posted that suggestion as a possible solution to choppy voice. It was noted by laptop users that their batteries drained twice as fast. So, mobile users should be aware of this potential cost.skipfreethrow wrote:Uncheck "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power."
