Voice Mail

I receive Emails from MJ with .wav file attached but there is nothing in the file. Why is this file attached if there is nothing there?

SOMETIMES that happenes if the person decides not to leave a message. You get a SHORT wav file, albeit an empty one. The person most likely listened to your outgoing message and then hung up. BUT they stayed connected long enough for the voice mail to think they left a message..
I even get that from time to time on my answering machine on my land line. So I would not sweat it.

Generally, if a caller hangs up within 3 seconds the recording will be discarded. But, if the caller dawdles for more than 3 seconds after the beep and then hangs up you will receive the "empty" message.

How long are these files you are receiving?

Windows Media Player would not play the file but I was able to open it with another player. All is well that ends well, as they say, thanks!
