Magic Jack + Little Snitch Compatibility Issue

I am using MagicJack without problems on my MacPro Dual + on a new MacBook. The only compatibility issue I have is that it will NOT work while Little Snitch is running. It does not matter how you tinker with LS and tell it that MagicJack is OK (providing every exception possible). So long as Little snitch is running, MagicJack will not.

I can even dial a number (that I know will be a recording) and the MJ control panel says that the call is active, but I hear nothing. If I turn off Little Snitch, I can hear the call.

dstorrents I am using my MagicJack on a MacPro with Little Snitch. Little Sniitch warned me about the outgoing requeast of the MagicJack and I would hit allow till quit. I finally got tired of Little Snitch informing me about MagicJack's outgoing request, so I changed the rule for the MagicJack to:





Little Snitch no longer informs me of MagicJack's outgoing request and everything works fine. I hope this helps you.

I tried everything in LS to enable MagicJack. LS was not asking me for permission to allow MJ, it was just denying it in the background. BUT, because you posted that picture, I was able to see that MagicJacks files on the Mac are invisible. So I was able to find it (and allow it) going through LS's System Process and following the path that was in your picture.

Ok, I use little snitch too, but I have a different problem....

I also set up a global rule in ***Little Snitch*** for Magic Jack (ALL...ALL), but my problem is that Magic Jack won't dial.

I see at the top of the Magic Jack program:

magicJac - 000-000-0000

I presume this should be the phone number I selected.

(I had registered a few minutes before)

I was on chat with "extended tech support' for over an hour, but they could not resolve it. Tried to add additional DNS servers, etc..

I also installed the Magic Jack upgrade DMP, with no help.

Multiple un-plug, wait 20 seconds, reboot from the Magic Jack menu, with no results either.

Do you need to wait 24 hours or some period of time before it actually works?

I dial a number, but nothing happens.

Any ideas?

I would then love to use magicJack service on my iPhone 3GS over 3G / WiFi network.

I'd would like to use, my existing magicJack service with Acrobits Softphone's SIP phone app on my iPhone 3GS - currently it's giving me error of not authorized... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
