So far so good

Post by mrmeanor »

I have heard of Magicjack back a few months ago. I finally decided to order one. The site leaves a lot to the imagination, not much information, but I ordered it anyhow.

It took a little tweaking with Vista, but it has worked flawlessly since. I have a router and thought there would be problems, none so far. Great product.

Do have some of the same concerns, like a local number. There is not one Wisconsin number available as of yet.

The voicemail is not the greatest. Had problems calling the voicemail with my phone on mj. It seemed to work itself out before I had time to get help.

I had used a few VoIP’s in the past and have had plenty of problems that were never resolved.

I think for the price, Magicjack is great.

They did screw me on the 30 day free guarantee... I got charged right away.

Did your card actually get charged or just authorized?

I used PayPal. (I know, I know) It is connected to my checking. The money was taken out a day or two after I ordered it. Even before I recived it. Kind of stupid on my part, I only keep enought in my checking to pay bills and purchase items. I ended up paying the charge that the bank issuses to dip into my savings to cover it.

I just believed "Free for thirty days, then and ONLY then will you be charged..."

On the lighter side, I have racked up many hours on the Magicjack and have not had any problems since I got it set up! They should have a referal program, I have 2 friends and 3 family members ordering after they used mine.
