Wireless phone line transmitter

Since unfourtunatley I dont have a phone line in my room with the PC, I cant run the MJ with my whole house system quite so easily.

Can I use some of those wireless phone line kits from radioshack and a 100k resistor mod BEFORE the transmitter?

How do you think this should be set up?

I use vtech cordless phones with several extension phones that have battery backup in the base unit that keeps the phone active even if you have a brief power outage. Combine that with a UPS for the computer system and router and modems and you'll have a fairly reliable system.

Familiarize yourself with the advantages of applying the port forwarding features of your router. Use the free software called CyberTweak to maximize the MTU depending on the type of broadband service that you've got and you'll notice a substantial improvement in overall sound quality. Go to http://portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm to get all of the info that you'll need about port forwarding.

Depending upon the REN (mostly) of the Power Line jack "transmitter," this should work just fine. You may or may not need the resistor.

Port forwarding is absolutely not indicated here. QoS is the feature you are trying to think of. Please familiarize yourself with that while you are cleaning up the zombies you are inviting into your PC by forwarding ports willy nilly.
