will german phones work with mj?
I am sending 3 mj's to germany and i know american phones dont work with german land line service. while i lived there i had to buy german phones and im afraid my wife will get there and not have the phones to make the mj's work. I also work for best buy so i get phones real cheap and want to make sure i dont have to mail her phones. the MJ chat support did not make me confident they understood my question. if any one knows the answer to this question that would be great.

I'm sorry, but it will most likely not work. See mberlant's post, the 4th down:

Send three of your your most reliable inexpensive phones along with the MJs and you will be a real hero. If you decide to send cordless phones, try to choose a model with a universal power supply (100-240VAC, not only 110VAC), so your friend doesn't have to purchase wall warts in Germany to make it work.

A friend sent a MJ to his daughter in Poland. With it he also sent her one of THESE phones from Walmart. Sound is good as I talked to her once while she was using it.
