Nah. eBay owns Skype, remember? As far as I know, Google hasn't bought eBay yet. Out of all the big companies, it actually makes sense for Google to buy magicJack. They already have the ground work to make money off of targeted ads. It'd be cool receiving magicJack voicemail via Gmail.JohnnyFreightTRAIN wrote:I bet they would just buy magicjack out and then redirect everyone to Skype.
No thank you.
Google may own Grand Central, but they are leaving it to rot.. Why haven't we heard anything from GC in all this time?? I would hope that they will come back with all the toys and joys that would make this all complete..Nothing from them.. Not a peep on their site either..I done unnastan!! Anyone have a clue??? I hope that Soon" MJ will give us all the toys that GC had and more.. Then we wouldn't have to worry about a second party phone service
Is that "slowed down" or "stopped"?? At least it is still working, somewhat. Obviously someone is keeping it up and running.. Do we have a clue if it is going to pick up speed again, or, are you saying that, that too, is waiting on the economy to answer the question? GC is a great idea.. I never did understand how it could be offered free..Maybe when it is resurrected it will be stripped of a lot of what we are taking for granted now, and wont be as useful..

I hope they don't cancel it as its my primary number (forwarded to MJ #). There are others that offer free forwarding services, but not as nice as google so far. One example is iNumbr, but it only works for up to a month. Used it when I sold my car on craigslist so no spammer would have my real phone number.

Couldn't agree with you more on this one -- I hope they don't leave it wounded.
I can't live without (the GC concept) any more.
