Magicjack out-call with no dongle and no service.

Can a laptop that has never had magicjack in it be configured to run magicjack software for outgoing calls, with VoIP-USB phone or headset and microphone? O', with no paid service.

You will need to follow the advice that deals with using the MJ service with an alternative softphone or ATA. You will need to follow the advice that tells you how to extract your credentials, after which you should be able to use those credentials with the softphone of your choice.

Hi mberlant,

a) I am totally new to this game, so can U kindly confirm if this is what U mean:

1- get a magic jack and extract SIP info from it.

2- to extract the SIP info, use "Fiddler" over "cain" which can be messy.

b) Assuming, I secure valid magicjack SIP info, will I be required to maintain anual service to be able to use that SIP info toward outgoing calls from a laptop without the dongle?

c) Are U aware of "public" SIP info, which can be shared among "MJ testing" community or privately among testers such as U and I?

The Search button is your friend. All of the information you seek is well discussed here. The forum has advice on how to extract more versatility from the MJ you have already paid for. There is no advice here on how to steal service from MJ.

"To extract versatility" from MJ that U already have,one such versatility as it has been discussed in the forum being the ability to use the service absent of the "dongle", means simply to be able to clone the service for multiple users absent of purchase.

This shades dim light on logic of your perception,as to what constitutes theft and the fact all that which is discussed in this forum is blessed godly

However, I fully understand your defensive reply. As this forum may grow, which it will, and unless the idea is suppression of information and tech knowledge, perhaps the admin may contemplate on relocating to server overseas for anonymity and absence of liability.

There are threads here that discuss how to extract your SIP information from your dongle. There are other threads that deal with using that SIP information on the alternate client of your choice. Using this information requires that you have the requisite skills. There is no cookie cutter solution, or you would have read about it before opening a new thread in the first place.

All of the advice here is predicated on your having a real MJ dongle, and that it is connected to a real PC at least once and that it is activated on the MJ service and has had a phone number assigned to it. What you suggest in this thread contravenes those basic requirements. Please read the existing discussions to be able to decide if this project is for you.
