MJ pays fine to FL
Moderators: Bill Smith, Pilot
This is the third new thread posting the same wrong conclusion to what happened. MJ paid ransom to the county to get them to drop a baseless investigation. It was not a fine, and MJ did not admit wrongdoing because they did not do anything wrong (in this case).
Some ignorant MJ users complained that they couldn't have use of their $40 during the month of the free trial. They confused the authorization hold MJ put on their credit card with an actual sales charge. The county prosecutor, equally ignorant of credit card practice, spent $125,000 of the county's money looking for wrongdoing where there was none, but extorted that money from MJ in order not to drag it out in court.
