Ring Count for VM

I see in the MJ FAQs that the ring count before vm picks up is hard-coded at 4.

Does this seem a little silly to anyone but me?

Has anyone done a hack for this, or would such a thing even be permissible?

If you would use the Search button, this, like your other individual questions, would already be answered for you. In fact, you state that you already know the answer.

I did search. I don't know the archive procedure in place here. Maybe the question about the hacks was answered on an archived thread? Maybe someone figured out a way to do it, but was never prompted to post it since nobody ever asked?

I'm not understanding why you posted in this thread? Just to try and beat someone down because you (wrongly) assumed they didn't search?

If you're not going to be helpful, please don't post at all.
